If you need to look up your transmission’s build specifications, calibration, or part numbers, you cannot use a generic VIN decoder. You must use Allison’s proprietary tool.

Before using the lookup tools, you must locate the serial number (S/N) on the unit itself. It is typically found in the following locations: Transmission Nameplate : The primary source is a metal data tag attached to the passenger side (right side) of the transmission housing. If the data plate is missing or unreadable (common in older vehicles), look for the serial number stamped directly into the metal.

If it is still not appearing, the transmission may be very old or a special, non-standard build. Contact an authorized Allison Transmission Dealer for manual lookup assistance.

Avoid third-party websites asking for payment to "unlock" your Allison serial number data. They are almost always scams. The only legitimate paid service is Allison DOC.
