He encounters the Weeping Demon, a former human now mutated into a giant, horned creature that wails in endless agony. The demon explains that he must now feed on other humans to live, a fate worse than death. The wanderer flees, covering his ears to block out the demon's cries, representing the final collapse of human compassion and society.

Akira Kurosawa, one of the most influential filmmakers of all time, crafted "Dreams" as a personal and introspective work.
