Between fights, you choose your next encounter, manage your resources, and make key strategic decisions. You can recruit up to ten unique dwarves, each with their own class, stats, and abilities. You can assign them roles like a sturdy frontline tank, a deadly damage dealer, or a fragile but powerful mage that needs to be protected. After every battle, you collect weapons, armor, and accessories, allowing you to upgrade your heroes and experiment with different combinations to discover new, powerful synergies. This constant loop of fighting, looting, and upgrading is what makes it so hard to put down.
Having five well-geared dwarves is often much better than having eight naked novices. Focus on quality gear before expanding your army size.
"You went in on Free Day," the scribe noted. "And you came out with... nothing? You failed the raid?"
Loot must be physical . Not a stat stick labeled "+5 Strength." A dwarven player wants to see the mithril chainmail glint, read the lore of the goblin king whose skull became a drinking horn, and hear the clunk of gold coins in a physical vault. Loot is the proof of existence.
"See?" Thrum muttered, pulling himself along the wall. "Death was free. The loot he had on him? That belongs to the blades now."
