Unlike traditional network scanners (like Nmap) used for security auditing, Nesca is designed primarily for finding, analyzing, and exploring obscure or public-facing assets, often without a specific goal other than finding something interesting. What is Nesca Scanner?
The user inputs a target IP range (such as a Class C subnet) or a list of specific domains. NESCA sends out packets (such as ICMP ping requests or TCP SYN packets) to determine which hosts are active.
